Formatting silicon power usb drive (toshiba)

now there is some puzzle on how to format a protected usb drive, this is without any hardware switch for write protected and write able status of flash drive.
my first experience is with this toshiba 8gb flash drive. it was write protected, I could not write it, so I tried to just format it, but windows cannot format it, it said write protected.
I tried to find the switch but found none. so I search google and found a guide here:

so I follow it’s guide:

- download usbview program (it is from microsoft, but you won’t find the executable one in microsoft sites, they only has the precompiled one), I got it from this site: http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Utilities.htm

- run the program, so you can see the vendor ID and device ID of the usb drive.

btw. the device above is not toshiba, since it is already taken cared of, so on the left panel look for toshiba mass storage (and it also shows in right panel), so you pick the right device.

Recount Text

Recount is a text that has social function to tell the reader, a story had happened for the purpose of informing or entertaining. Recount texts can be from of personal letters, diary, history, biography or autobiography and the similar. It is supported by Warner (2009:25) that ”A recount tells the reader about something that has happened. It can be story (fictional) recount or factual recount”.  Where this event took place and when it happens, this called the orientation sequence of event is the description in some sort of order (e.g time). There may be Re-Orientation at the end which summary summarize the event. The purpose of recount text is to give the audience a description of what occurred and when it occurred.

The Process of Translation

The Relation of Translating to Translation Theory

The purpose of the theory of translating is to be of service to the translator. It is designed to be a continuous link between translation theory and practice.

The  Approach

There are two approaches to translating (and many compromises between them): (1) you start translating sentence by sentence, for say the first paragraph or chapter, to get the feel and the feeling tone of the text, and you deliberately sit back, review the position, and read the rest of the SL text; (2) you read the whole text two or three times, and find the intention, register, tone, mark the difficult words and passages and start translating only when you have taken your bearings.

THE TYPES OF TRANSLATION (English-Indonesian)

According to Larson (1984:15) translation is calssified into two main types, namely form-based and meaning-based translation. Form-based translation attemps to follow the form of the Source Language and is known as literal translation, while meaning-based translation makes every effort to communicate the meaning of the SL in the natural forms on the receptor language. Such translation is called idiomatic translation.

Larson (1984:16) says that idiomatic translation use the natural forms of the receptor language both in the grammatical constructions and in the choices of lexical items. A trully idiomatic translation does not sound like a translation. It sounds like it was written originally in the receptor language. Therefore, a good translator will try to translate idiomatically. This is his or her goal.

The procedures of translation by Pinchuck,1977:166

Translation in the very broad sense of the term can be listed in terms of different levels of complexity (Pinchuck,1977:166). The procedures can be in the form of :

1.  transcription

This means rendering the sounds of an SL into a TL form, e.g.

Indonesian                              English

Betawi                         -           Batavia

Urang hutan                -           Orangutan

Lexical Equivalent (A word has more than one meaning in translating English into Indonesia)

In translation, sometimes we find a word that have more than one meaning

e.g.

1.      We take Obama to mosque

2.      The radio announcer takes the air at 9 p.m.

3.      They take a part in this party

4.      Andi is still green at this job

5.      The wall is green

6.      This fruit is still green
